Ore yeye oooo!!!! This handmade ileke/necklace is a good way to connect spiritually to the energies of Orisha Osun/Oshun/Ochun. Orisha Osun is the divine energy of the Rivers, (In Nigeria - Osun Sacred Grove in Osogbo). Osun is known for healing the sick and bringing fertility and prosperity. She especially watches over the poor and brings them what they need. This river goddess exudes strength in her power, the beauty of her undying love, and the magical rhythm flowing through her sacred waters. This goddess is very much alive; her feminine essence resides in the rivers of the world and in the hearts of those who call upon her energy today and every day. Ore yeye ooooo!!!! She is the youngest Orisa and she loves all of her children!

In some traditions, the orisa have roads/avatars. This particular road of Osun is Ibukole. This river goddess is inseparable from the vulture, with whom she works. This means she is unable to be separated or treated separately from the vulture. Her name means " the one who picks through and recovers the garbage and powders". Ibukole watches over the home. It is said that when death is near, vultures circle the home and area like Oshun Ibu Kole is said to watch over the home. She is ferocious and feeds only on what the vultures bring her. As the manifestation of Ibu Kole, she was able to fly up to heaven as a vulture to personally petition Olofi to release the draught on the world. Vultures represent this aspect of Oshun, the vulture is the most ancient and powerful totem that most people are unaware of.


This ileke/necklace contains all facets and colors of yellows, ambers, crystal, brass, red, black, green, and coral. When you wear this necklace, you will feel the essence of the our Mother, Ore yeye oooooo!!!
