This beautiful pair of earrings were made with the energy of our sista, Nzinga Oyaniyi. The brass Afrikan mask connects to the energy of our ancestors. She is steadfast in honoring her ancestors through her work as a teacher, community advocate, a dancer, a singer, a hearer, a communicator, and a person who started a non-profit that expands throughout the world! The wine color represents her passion, energy, strength, love at a very deep level, among other things.

Wine traditionally is the central symbol for transformation. Nature often holds up a mirror so we can see more clearly the ongoing processes of growth, renewal, and transformation in our lives. Wine is a mirror held up to nature.

The earrings also have a hint of turquoise, mustard, and brown. The color turquoise is associated with meanings of refreshing, feminine, calming, sophisticated, energy, wisdom, serenity, wholeness, creativity, emotional balance, good luck, spiritual grounding, friendship, love, joy, tranquility, patience, intuition, and loyalty.
